It was hard to tell how long he had been here now. Did time pass as smoothly here as it did in the Soul Society...? Back in West Rukongai... or even in the world of the living. Is that.. where he was now? For sure..?
Even now he kept perched on the delicate roof of this delicate house. Not even One Stone over fifty pounds, he still wondered if putting all of his weight on the structure would cause it to shatter. Not crumble. Shatter. It was a thought of many that which now flowed through his head day and night.
Toshiro looked to the sky, half-glaring as it seemed to change shades; neverendingly. The sky would go from blue and slowly seep backward into the rainbow. He wondered if time moved backward here. Back home things weren't too different from how they were now.. but things seemed so much more clear.
So much more... There was so much energy meshing. Good and evil. The bright colors and dull colors. Even Jurin'an, the market places, the captains quarters; they had all seemed to have been limited to their own schemes. Nothing that felt this free.
He had found flowers earlier he had never seen. Ggio watched everything. For hours; regardless. Inoue - she smiled with concern for everyone.. Mashiro. She always seemed so sad. Toshiro uncurled his fingers to reveal the colorful flower to his eyes again, wondering if anyone else saw them the way he did.
But they... everyone seemed to come in pairs. As if planned by some stronger force. Who was it? What was drawing them here? He didn't want anymore fighting. The shinigami was tired of hearing souls cry. Would it stop? Yes everyone came together. Except for him and the.. green-haired girl with the sad eyes and pouting lips. She seemed to care for him. He wondered if she had any family of her own; or if she had lost them too.
The sky was painted with lemon yellow and tangerine orange. Strawberry seeped through the wounds of the sky like a careless child with a drinking cup, and he couldn't help but wonder if the ones he had back home were wondering if he was awake in the dream they'd never see.
